I've learned you have to work at love. Its not something that just "remains the same" as my good friend Gavin Rossdale would have us believe. It takes effort on both ends to make it last, grow, and be healthy. I'm sad to see over 60% of marriages fail here in the US. I see people like my in laws who have been married 40 + years and still have the same passion they did for each other when they first said I do. The vows take on an entire other meaning now for them, as my father in law is sick and requires around the clock care from my mother in law.
Please take the time to thank your better half for all they do every day to make your life a little better. Don't dwell on the past and don't live with regrets. Live for today :) Enjoy the blessings in your life and remember that love takes time. Anything worth while in life takes time, patience, sacrifice, passion, and WORK.
Just my two cents for the night
